Hi my name is Cristina Haro, I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California.

Who I work with:
It is my passion to work with; youth, adolescents, college students, women, adults, couples, families. I work with those who have experienced; trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, motherhood issues, and need help managing their emotions. My goal is to work together to help you grow and overcome life challenges in a safe, none-judgmental and caring environment.
My approach:
My approach involves using a trauma lens, CBT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing techniques as well as other tools to help my clients grow, learn and look inward to use their inner strengths to help you heal from the wounds of life.
I aim to help individuals and families understand their trauma, develop healthy coping skills, build on their self-esteem and improve communication skills. In turn boost their emotional awareness and add their toolkit to create a life with meaning, empowerment, and growth.
My Background:
I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in Youth Work. I have my Masters degree from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. My previous work experiences includ working with incarcerated adolescents with behavior issues at the Santa Clara County, Juvenile Hall.
